Thread: Should a small business choose to promote a facebook fan page or a personal page?

Does anyone have a complete (and current) list of pros and cons when it comes to promoting a fan page or a personal page?

You have to be laser targeted with FB Ads. I recommend GEO-Targeting and DEMOGRAPHIC Marketing in order to see a success.

For Example, If my market is only ages 35-38 then I don't want anyone else seeing my ad unless they're fit in that criteria.
You should promote Facebook Page based on your EXACT market and who you want seeing and liking your pages.

I would say direct your visitors to your Facebook page. Facebook users can lose trust if they are directed to an external page. If you direct them to the fan page and encourage them to hit like, this can be a lot more valuable as you can re target them in the future.
